PROCEEDINGS OF THE CENTRAL BROWN COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY

TECHNICAL COMMITTEE


Pursuant to Section 19.84 Wis. Stats, a regular meeting of the Central Brown County Water Authority –Technical Committee was held on Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Allouez Village Offices – 1900 Libal Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bob Bartelt at 1:40 p.m.

APPEARANCES:

1. Mark Schleis, PTS

Mark Schleis was present, asking to discuss the retainage issue. Mr. Rosenbeck first addressed Contract D, stating further information is needed to verify completion dates. Although the original date of completion was 10/7/06, it was changed to 2/7/07 because of requested changes by the Water Authority. Mr. Vaclavik suggested he provide information starting from that date.


Discussion over Contracts G, H, & I were also addressed. Again, Mr. Schleis was asked to go back to the last changes made by the Water Authority. Final consensus was that Mr. Schleis, Rosenbeck, & Vaclavik meet to discuss issues. The date of Wednesday, January 9th, 8 a.m. was set for this purpose.


COMMUNICATIONS: None

AGENDA ITEMS:


1. Project Close-Out:

Meetings will be scheduled with Jossart, Dorner/Joski Joint Venture, and SJ Lewis to discuss project closeout issues.

2. Flow Discrepancy at DP-2:

Mr. Vaclavik explained that when EFI was at the DP-2 site doing routine maintenance, they noticed a meter problem and reset it to zero. It is felt it has not been operating accurately since that time. In addition, there also seems to be a scaling problem since beginning operation. At this time DePere staff is reviewing the issue. True-up charges from August through mid-November will be affected. The issue is under review by Rob Michaelson of MPU and the City of DePere.


3. Contract C Update:

Mr. Vaclavik reported that a notice of claim has been received from Michels Construction. A meeting has been scheduled on January 10th to discuss issues.


4. Contract F – EFI:

EFI has not responded to correspondence related to items they have not completed. Mr. Broekman informed the committee that EFI will be in Green Bay on Thursday, 1/17 at 9 a.m. and he will inform Rob Michaelson of this date and time.


5. Project Progress and Status Report:

a. Corrpro

Mr. Rosenbeck stated he has been unable to locate Corrpro, that they have not responded to e-mail correspondence.


b. Air Relief Valves

A meeting will be held with the City of Manitowoc to discuss three different options. He will report back after that meeting.


c. Other

It was announced that the DePere & Lawrence are close to settling various issues with Advance Construction.


Mr. Vaclavik noted that all contracts are at a 1% retainage, except for

H & F.


6. Contractor & Vendor Change Order Requests:

a. Change Orders for any or all contracts may be presented at the meeting if ready for consideration and action: None


7. Next Meeting:

Monday, January 21, 2008 – 1:30 p.m. – Allouez Village Hall
