Keel laying held for new Great Lakes freighter
STURGEON BAY (WLUK) -- A keel laying for a new Great Lakes bulk carrier took place Thursday in Sturgeon Bay.
The ceremony was jointly held by Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding and The Interlake Steamship Company and recognized the first U.S.-flagged Great Lakes bulk carrier to be built in more than 35 years.
