Crews continue placing 48-inch main pipe along CTH R south of Devils River. The orange colored backhoe in the photo is excavating soil from inside the trench box in order to obtain the correct elevation for installation of the water main. In the foreground of the photo, the yellow backhoe, equipped with a compaction attachment, is compacting soil that has been placed over a portion of the pipe that has already been installed.
