This view from above shows a section of pipe being installed that has been pulled part of the way into the tunnel (about 8-10 feet of the 20-foot length of the pipe). An additional section of pipe is then placed behind this pipe and a horizontal ram is used to push the two pipes together to connect them. The bottom portion of stand/platform for the ram can be seen on the right side of the picture. The entire ram can be seen in photo 52.
