Lake Michigan water levels near record high as prolonged periods of wet weather inundate the lake

If Lake Michigan were a glass, it would be getting pretty full.
In the past month alone, the lake has jumped 7 inches and is expected to rise 2 more in June because of higher than normal precipitation, according to figures released Friday by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
